Our natural beef begins with our own cow/calf operation. The cows give birth in the late spring in open pastures and woods. The animals are then rotationally fed on fresh grass pastures all summer and fall. In the winter they are fed on forage diets on the fields and in the woods. The animals that are fed out to be butchered are fattened on intensive grazing of alfalfa fields all summer long. No antibiotics or implants are given to any of our natural beef animals.
The calves are all given probiotic when they are first born to put all the good bugs in their stomach.
Starting in the fall and through to the finishing phases, the cattle are on molasses and apple cider vinegar. Just like with us, this helps with gut and immune health.
